Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Associate to join our Audit team. This is a hands-on role responsible for performing audit work from planning through to completion, while supporting and coaching junior team members throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform audit fieldwork and procedures from planning through to completion for a variety of clients across different sectors.
  • Prepare audit documentation and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements under FRS 102 from clients’ trial balance.
  • Review financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Direct, support and coach junior team members during audit assignments.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide value-added recommendations to clients.
  • Travel to client premises for on-site audits as required.

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in audit within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience using iRIS software for accounts preparation preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
