Meet Jack Meredith

Preparing for a marathon requires months of dedication, training, discipline and commitment. Every early morning run, every training session, and every mile completed represents a determination to support an important cause and inspire others to get involved.

By supporting Jack’s fundraising efforts, you are not just helping a runner cross a finish line. You are becoming part of a wider community that believes in helping others and creating positive change.

This is what Jack had to say about the Marathon and why he’s taking on the challenge:

“10 years ago in July of 2017 my grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Within 2 weeks she sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer.

This year, I’m taking on the London Marathon in her memory. Ten years on from losing her, I wanted to do something truly special to celebrate her life, honour the incredible person she was, and turn what has been a heartbreaking loss into something positive.

Pancreatic cancer is a devastating illness and the deadliest common cancer, for that reason it affects far too many families, and I’m proud to be raising money to help support the fight against it.

Running 26.2 miles will undoubtedly be hard, but knowing I’m doing it in the memory of the incredible woman my nan was will give me the motivation to keep going.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. Every donation will help make a difference and will mean so much to me and my family.

Thank you for supporting me and helping me celebrate my nan’s life in the most meaningful way I can 10 years on.”

Every donation will count and be gratefully received.
