Karen and Vikki Skydive for MND

On the 18th October 2026, Vikki and Karen will be taking on a challenge that pushes us well outside our comfort zones… a tandem skydive!

They’re jumping from thousands of feet in the air to raise money for two causes that mean a great deal to us: Dementia research and Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) research and support.

Like so many families, we have seen first-hand the devastating impact that neurological conditions can have on individuals and those who love them. Dementia and Motor Neurone Disease affect not only the person diagnosed, but entire families, often bringing immense emotional, physical and practical challenges.

While we know a skydive is only a small sacrifice compared to what those living with these conditions face every day, we wanted to do something memorable that could make a difference. By supporting us, you’ll be helping to fund vital research, improve understanding of these conditions, and provide support to people and families who need it most.

Karen is a little braver than I, as I am not expecting to particularly enjoy throwing myself out of a perfectly good aeroplane, but knowing we’re doing it for such important causes will help me find the courage when the door opens!

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will be hugely appreciated.

Thank you for your support and encouragement. Hopefully we can help bring some hope to those affected by Dementia and Motor Neurone Disease and support the search for better treatments and, one day, a cure.

Wish us luck… we’re going to need it!
